We'll send you out a Prospective Members (Y4) form which will need to be completed and returned before your youth attends.

Then if you decide to join...
- Notify the Leaders of the section that your child would like to continue.
- An email invitation to join will be emailed to you, you will need to click on the link in the email to start the process.
- An Invoice will then be emailed, this will need to be paid before we can officially register (see Fees for more information)
- Complete the online scout membership application (a link will be emailed to you)
- Complete the secure Operoo form providing health information (a link will be emailed to you)
- Purchase a Scout uniform - Either from https://scoutshop.com.au/ or you can directly purchase one from the Snowgum outlet - 1702 Dandenong Road, Oakleigh East. You just need the shirt, all badges and scarf will be supplied by 1st Cranbourne.
- During the following weeks your Scout will be taken through an Intro to Scouting during the normal meeting times and the section leaders will contact you when an investiture date has been organised.
- Prior to the investing ceremony, the youth member will need to choose which Australian Scout Promise they want to affirm (picture below)
Scout Promise & Law
Scouts follow the Promise and Law and we affirm this when they are invested into the Unit. There are 2 options for the promise, which will need to be decided on prior to the Scouts investiture.
